News Catch-up 03 May 2021

We have some exciting news this week as singer / songwriter Billie Eilish has just announced a brand new studio album, Happier Than Ever. The 19 year-old artist chose not to use any outside producers or songwtiers, and instead wrote, recorded and produced the entirety of the album with her brother FINNEAS. The single from the album, entitled Your Power was released only a few days ago and has already gone on to be a notorious commentary on the abuse of power. It remains to be seen if the single is a taste of similiar things to come from the album itself, regardless there are 15 further tracks to hear, and we are all as excited as you to hear them.

Fortunately, as well as the black vinyl 2 LP edition of the album (available to pre-order HERE), we will also be stocking an indie store exclusive 2 LP on brown vinyl (available to pre-order HERE).

Both versions of Billie Eilish Happier Than Ever are expected to release in late July.

American rock band, Counting Crows are releasing their 8th studio album, Butter Miracle: Suite One. This will be their 1st studio album since 2014's Somewhere Under Wonderland. To prepare fans for the new album, Counting Crows have released a single from the album, the acousitc guitar-driven rocker, Elevator Boots

There are only 4 songs listed in the track-listing for Butter Miracle: Suite One, though word is that the songs themselves are longer than usual and will last a substantial time more than a regular EP. With a release date set for the end of May, the new album should be arriving in our store in early June.

In the meantime, you can pre-order Counting Crows Butter Miracle: Suite One HERE

Noel Gallagher (or more specifically Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds) is back in a big way this mid-year as a "best of" compilation has just been announced. It will also include tracks from the EPs Black Star Dancing, This Is The Place, and Blue Moon Rising; as well as 2 previously unreleased tracks including the new single We're On Our Way Now.

As well as the standard double LP version, there will also be a deluxe box set version that will include 4 LPs, 3 CDs, a 7" single, and a 32 page coffee table hardcover book. Exclusive to this deluxe set are previously unreleased acoustic versions of songs, remixes, instrumentals and unheard demos.

Both versions of Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds Back The Way We Came Vol. 1 (2011 - 2021) will be available in early July.
