News Catch-up 9 April 2021

Hello everyone!

Hope you all had a good Easter. We have, of course, been busy with catching up on all the long weekend orders and shipping them out of the door. And now that the dust has finally settled on that, we have a very welcome suprise in the form of the first bit of info from this year's Record Store Day.

Obviously, we are still in the very early stages of getting information, so not all details are readily available to us. What we do know however is like last year, RSD will be split up in at least 2 'drops', the first on June 12th and the second on July 17th. Like always, there will be NO RESERVATIONS or HOLDS, and all titles will be sold on a first-come-first-serve basis, as well as being available as one-copy-per-customer.

The information we have at the moment are the lists of all titles that have been confirmed thus far from the US and UK markets. To help us determine what titles to secure for our store, we have arranged for a Wishlist function as we have done in previous years. Whilst this isn't a gaurantee that we will recieve the items that are 'wished' for (and it is certainly not a way to hold a title for the customer), it does give us an indication on what titles are of interest to our customers.

Confirmation on what titles we will recieve will be given the week before the Drops themselves.

With that all said, it's time to make up your Wishlists. Simply make sure that you have an account on our online store, then browse the RSD list HERE. Any titles that you want, simply click on the Add To Wishlist button below it. IMPORTANT TO NOTE: our orders to the suppliers need to be in by 5PM on April 12th, which (as of this writing) is next Monday. So, with 72 hours to go, we highly recommend you jump on the lists right away! Finish reading this and head on over. In fact, open up the list in another tab, make your Wishlist, then come back here and finish this off afterwards!

Titles that are on this list that are sure to be big hits this year include Linkin Park's Meteora on double blue vinyl (link here), a 40th anniversary picture disc edition of The Cure's Faith (link here), Freddie Mercury's Love Me Like There's No Tomorrow on pink 7" vinyl (link here), and Genesis Live At Knebworth, which now available as a 12" EP for the first time in over 30 years (link here). This is just to name a few, and in the coming weeks, we will be going more in-depth on titles on the list. It is going to be so much fun!

Until then, get those Wishlists going!
