News Catch-up 9 December 2020

Well, well, well... here we are. We've made it into the final month of the year. Obviously there is still so much more to do, especially on our end with processing, packing and sending out all of your christmas orders. And if you think there is no news about recently released and upcoming releases; well, do I have *ahem* news for you...

Since their invention, video games have gone from nothing more than virtual toys to being respected works of art within an interactive medium. One of the most recent examples of this was 2020's open-world Samurai-themed adventure Ghost Of Tsushima. Now in the ever-closer new year, Milan Records will be releasing the original score on vinyl. With music composed by Ilan Eshkeri and Shigeru Umebayashi, Ghost Of Tsushima soundtrack will be released on 3 LPs, all housed within a triple gatefold jacket with artwork by famed manga artist Takashi Okazaki. Ghost Of Tsushima soundtrack is available to pre-order here.

AC/DC's latest album, PWR/UP has proven to be one of our biggest sellers lately (and rightfully so!). For those of you that have not grabbed their copy yet (or just simply want a different version), we now have a supply of PWD/UP picture discs. Available to order here.

Another new release is the vinyl reissue of Coheed & Cambria's Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume Two: No World for Tomorrow. Originally released in 2007, No World for Tomorrow was the fourth chapter in Coheed & Cambria's frontman, Claudio Sanchez's The Armory Wars saga. No World for Tomorrow is available to pre-order here.

The Arctic Monkeys have a very special release out this month. Live at the Royal Albert Hall was originally recorded in July 2018 during the Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino tour. All proceeds from that original concert went to War Child UK - an organization that focuses on protecting, educating and rehabilitating children affected by conflict around the world. Two years on, Covid-19 has made already struggling war zones downright unbearable. In an effort to further help War Child UK tackle these areas, Arctic Monkeys are releasing the double LP of their concert, and of course, all proceeds from the record sales will go straight to War Child UK. With live performances of 20 of Arctic Monkeys' tracks, and proceeds going to an extremely good cause, Live at the Royal Albert Hall is a win-win for fans and music lovers alike. It is available to order here.

It's unavoidable: christmas is right around the corner, and that means that christmas carols are already echoing from speakers all over the place. For those of you that love the festive sound, why not grab some christmas records and put them directly onto the turntbable? We have a large selection in store - some of which have just come in. Included in our stock are the speaker's corner audiophile edition of Elvis' Christmas Album; Kacey Musgraves' A Very Kacey Christmas (with contributions by Leon Bridges and Willie Nelson); and A Very Cool Christmas - a double LP compilation of christmas songs from artists such as Leon Russell, Bryan Adams, The Kinks, Marvin Gaye and The Temptations. For the full list of all of the christmas vinyl we have in stock, head on over to our christmas page here.

As mentioned earlier, processing for christmas orders is well underway, but the window for items to be ordered and shipped out is rapidly closing. If you want your records to arrive to you before we close on the 23rd of this month, then jump on it right away! And make sure you take advantage of our free express shipping upgrade when you spend more than $200 or buy more than 3 LPs. There's not a moment to lose!
