Miles Davis would be Kind a Blue
By: Barry on 15 August 2019Miles Davis would be Kind a Blue, If he could hear the quality of this recording. Told by Discrepancy after purchase they are unaware of it being a unofficial pressing and believe it to be legit. Well ok but really bad recording, Vinyl was packed in a plastic bag that creates so much static you can hear crackles/pops throughout. Discrepancy supplied an anti static sleeve to replace it, thanks heaps for that by the way. The sound quality is very subdued does not envelope your mind as it should something missing in this pressing in my opinion. 0 stars for vinyl 2 stars for seller for adding anti-static bag again thank you..

An ageless musical treasure
By: CHRISTOPHER LYNCH on 12 October 2018This is more than a stunning album - it's a true work of art! Some of the finest musicians from an era, which in jazz terms was thrilling in itself, combined to produce unforgettable sounds capably led by a legend, often well-described as 'the Picasso of modern jazz'. Get it; succumb to its timeless beauty. "Kind of Blue" remains essential listening for anybody genuinely interested in serious music. The blue vinyl edition comes complete with the original liner notes by piano master, Bill Evans.

The album that changed my musical life
By: CHRISTOPHER LYNCH on 12 October 2018I first heard this astounding album in July 1967. It was loaned to me by an older jazz fanatic whom I came to know back then through shared musical interests. He was my first music teacher too. Ironically, it was on blue vinyl, meaning I couldn't wait to get this latest version of it in the same colour - blue - my favourite colour at any time. Over many years I've worn out numerous copies of "Kind of Blue" on vinyl, cassette and presently I have a couple of copies of it on CD as well. The night on put it on my little record player, I first played "All Blues", as up until then I had been primarily a blues fan. I felt chills from the back of my neck to my knee caps, I kid you not people! Every time I play this album I hear something new in it. Every time. This album is a must-have in any jazz collection - in fact in any serious music collection! Yes, I know I'm a biased jazz addict. I've adored, listened to and actually studied the music for over fifty years. Even if you don't know a II-V-I voicing from a C Dorian scale, you should find something to enjoy in this ground-breaking album; an album generally regarded by connoisseurs as a benchmark album. I'd give it ten stars if I could!
