Welcome back! It has been a hot minute - as the festive season has come down upon us once more and kept us all on our very merry toes! But, oh boy, do we have some hot news for you all today!

This year - this month in fact! - we celebrate the 50th anniversary Paul McCartney & Wings' 3rd studio album, Band On The Run. Recorded between at studio in London and Nigeria, Band On The Run saw a return-to-form from McCartney, as he adopted the structured tracklisting that he utilized for The Beatles' Abbey Road and Sgt. Pepper's.

Backed by Linda McCartney and ex-Moody Blues guitarist Denny Laine, Band On The Run contained some of the best musicality of Paul McCartney & Wings' career; evident most in the title track, as well as the single Jet.

In its 50 years, Band On The Run is continuously lauded as one of the greatest albums of the 20th century - not just for the groun-breaking tracks or the triumphant success for a post-Beatles McCartney, but also for its iconic album cover featuring a photograph of the band, as well as celebrities, Christopher Lee, Michael Parkinson and James Coburn.

To mark the birthday of this astounding album, we are being presented with a brand-new vinyl edition featuring the original US tracklisting which includes the song Helen Wheels. This version will be similiar to the previous 50th Wings albums of recent years and will contain a brand-new half-speed cut of the record, transferred from the original master tapes by Miles Showell of Abbey Road Studios. Along with an Obi strip, it will also contain a reproduction of Linda McCartney's polaroid poster.

Along with the vinyl edition, there will also be a special double CD edition. This version contains the original album plus a disc featuring previously unreleased "underdubbed" mixes of all the tracks.

Another special anniversary this year is the 75th birthday of record label, and to celebrate, we are getting a brand-new edition of Alice Cooper's debut solo magnum opus, Welcome To My Nightmare.

In 1975, having broken the shackles of the shock rock group of the same name, Alice Cooper re-invented himself as a musical storyteller, embracing themes of Gothic horror and unbridled chaos. Welcome To My Nightmare was a concept album, telling the story of a young boy named Steven who gives in the demons that lurk in his dreams and take him down to journey through an horrific underworld.

When Welcome To My Nightmare released, it not only brought success to Cooper, but set him up as an icon of horror rock - an image he still lives up to to this day.

Included on the album, are the hit singles, Only Women Bleed and Department Of Youth.

This new edition of Welcome To My Nightmare is being released through Analogue Productions and contains a new master (cut at 45 RPM) by Chris Bellman from Bernie Grundman Mastering. Pressed at RTI, the album will also be spread across two LPS\s.

As well as the vinyl edition, there will also be a special Atlantic 75 Series hybrid SACD edition.
