It was 50 years ago, on August 8, 1969, that the world’s most famous band stepped out from London’s EMI Recording Studios to stride, single-file, across the black and white stripes of Abbey Road’s nearby zebra crossing. With photographer Iain Macmillan balanced on a stepladder and one policeman stopping the street’s light traffic, The Beatles crossed back and forth three times, led by John Lennon, followed by Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison. Just six photos were taken, with the fifth selected as the cover shot for The Beatles’ penultimate studio album, Abbey Road, named after the tree-lined street in which the studios are located. Released September 26, 1969, Abbey Road was not The Beatles’ final album, as Let It Be followed in 1970, but it was the last one John, Paul, George, and Ringo recorded together as a band.

Abbey Road 50th Anniversary deluxe 3 LP 2019
By: Steven Dias on 4 May 2020This is a must have for any fan of music. Wonderfully packaged...no expense spared and the sound quality of the vinyl is superb. Giles Martin has done a magnificent job remixing this renowned album. The drums and bass are more pronounced..the soundstage is wonderfully spaced and the dynamics give a real rush to the senses. Discrepancy Records package with tremendous care and this package will arrive at your destination quickly amd safely. 10 out of 10.

Bliss For The Fan
By: Peter Haddow on 23 October 2019This is typically a quality Beatle product although I feel it lacks a little when compared to Sergeant Pepper and the White Album. It comes in third for me. There seems to be less rehearsal material than the other two albums. Less of seeing how a song develops. But you can't help but enjoy it. Comes with an interesting book and the packaging is quality. If you're a Beatle fan then you probably don't need to read this review. If you're less than a fan then it might help in deciding whether to buy or not. You will not say you don't get your money's worth with Abbey Road but for me Sergeant Pepper offers more and so does the White album.

Abbey Road 3LP Anniversary
20 October 2019Upon listening to the new mix, it’s as though a cover has been lifted off the original enabling a greater emphasis on the instruments and vocals.

Maya Jane Coles - Take Flight 3LP box set
Sent In By: Dave on 24 April 2024Well priced and super quick dispatch. Arrived in a sturdy mailer, complete with an oversized outer jacket for the box set, which saved me having to source that separately, and one inner sleeve. Although three inner sleeves would have been perfect (since there were 3 LPs) it was still much appreciated. Not many Sellers include either of those accessories. So all told, a very positive buying experience. Recommended, and i will be buying more LPs in future.
