Alkaline Trio

Alkaline Trio is a Chicago-based punk rock band known for their distinctive blend of dark, emotionally charged lyrics and catchy melodies. Formed in 1996, the band's original lineup consisted of Matt Skiba (vocals/guitar), Dan Andriano (bass/vocals), and Glenn Porter (drums). Porter was later replaced by Derek Grant.

Alkaline Trio's music often explores themes of love, heartbreak, addiction, and mortality, delivered with a poetic and macabre sensibility. Their breakthrough came with the album "From Here to Infirmary" (2001), which featured the hit single "Stupid Kid." This marked the band's transition from the underground punk scene to mainstream recognition.

The band continued to evolve their sound, incorporating elements of punk, pop-punk, and alternative rock into their music, while maintaining their distinctive lyrical style. Albums like "Good Mourning" (2003) and "Crimson" (2005) are considered fan favorites.
