Australian Crawl

Australian Crawl

Fronted by the charismatic James Reyne, Australian Crawl straddled the musical lanes of pop, rock, pub, and surf. They were a quintessential Aussie band, as befitted a group named after the world’s speediest swimming stroke.

Aussie Crawl started with a bang, their debut LP—The Boys Light Up—yielding three Top 40 singles and eventually reaching 4 x Platinum status in sales. Three successful studio albums (and an e.p.) followed, before the band called it quits in the late eighties. James Reyne continued with a successful solo career while fans continue to sing along to The Crawl’s hits. Things just-a don’t seem-a to be goin’ right…

There is a lovely boxed set of all the Australian Crawl albums as well as a beaut ‘hits’ compilation.
