Bluey

Everyone’s favourite Blue Heeler pup has an album to go with her hugely popular cartoon series. Just like the character herself, the music is adventurous, upbeat, and guaranteed to put a smile on your dial and a twitch in your whiskers.

Composer Joff Bush worked closely with the writers to make sure each episode’s music fitted with the story. The album, first released on vinyl in 2021, features arrangements of the music from many favourite episodes, including "Keepy Uppy" and "Here Come The Grannies!". The joyous, exuberant tone is set right at the beginning with the "Instrument Parade" version of the Bluey Theme Tune where the child voices shout out the names of each featured instrument. We may never know whether Bush got that idea from the instrument sequence of Mike Oldfield’s Tubular Bells, but it doesn’t matter a bit. Bluey’s pack are Australia’s most loved canine family and they are inviting you to bop around your lounge room to this infectiously good-time album.
