Dido

Dido

Singer/Songwriter Dido burst onto the world stage with her 1999 debut album No Angel then followed it up several years later with Life For Rent, her equally successful second album. The artist born Florian Cloud de Bounevialle O'Malley Armstrong has a warm and engaging style and a light musical palette bridging electronica and acoustic pop. The combination has made her one of the most successful and cherished artists in the UK.

Dido takes time between albums, with a new release appearing (on average) every four to five years. In between she has lived her life but also remained active in music. Dido performed at Live 8 and has collaborated with artists such as Mick Fleetwood and Brian Eno. A recent collaboration was with her brother Rollo, in 2019. At home she has a stack of awards on the shelf, including Best British Female Artist (twice!), an Ivor Novello for International Hit of the Year for "White Flag" (2004) and the 2019 Ivor Novello for Outstanding Song Collection.
