Eagles

Eagles

The original quartet of Don Henley, Glen Frey, Randy Meisner and Bernie Leadon formed Eagles back in 1971, melding country-rock with singer-songwriter introspection to build one of the most enduring brands in rock. Although membership has shifted over the decades (most notable, perhaps, the addition of Joe Walsh) the sound has remained very stable: strong melodies, tight harmonies, memorable choruses. Alongside Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt and others, Eagles came to define a West Coast sound, with hits like “Lyin’ Eyes”, “Desperado” and “New Kid in Town”. All these and more feature on the massively successful LP Their Greatest HIts, Vol. 1. Others will favour the albums, including Hotel California and One Of These Nights.
