Marshall Crenshaw

Marshall Crenshaw is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist known for his blend of power pop, rockabilly, and rhythm and blues. Born on November 11, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan, Crenshaw enthusiastically absorbed the music of Buddy Holly and the Beatles, who influence can be heard in his own melodic song-writing and love of rich choruses.

The bespectacled musician rose to prominence in the early 1980s with his self-titled debut album, which included the hit single "Someday, Someway". Crenshaw has since released multiple albums and is considered one of the key figures in the power pop genre. Throughout his career, his love of melody and clever lyrics have seen him influence a number of musicians in the pop and rock genres.
