TISM

TISM, short for This Is Serious Mum, is an iconic Australian band that emerged in the late 1980s and left an indelible mark on the music scene. Known for their irreverent and satirical approach to music and performance, TISM garnered a cult following for their unique blend of punk, rock, and electronic elements.

One of TISM's most distinguishing features was their penchant for anonymity, often performing in disguise with members wearing masks or costumes, which added an air of mystery to their live shows. Their lyrics were sharp, witty, and frequently laced with social and political commentary, making them a voice of dissent and humor in the Australian music landscape.

TISM's breakthrough came with their hit single "Greg! The Stop Sign!!," and they continued to release albums and singles that challenged conventions and provoked thought. Although the band officially disbanded in the mid-2000s, their legacy lives on as a testament to the power of satire and irreverence in music, and they remain a beloved and enigmatic figure in Australian music history.
