This is the first time Frontierland has been made available on vinyl. The original artwork has been reimaged and the newly remastered LP comes on a choice of black or opaque blue vinyl (this edition), in a deluxe gatefold sleeve. The album will also be available on the streaming services for the first time.
Originally released in Australia, the USA and Britain in 1996 Frontierland has never been available on vinyl and never available on the streaming services. The album has been out of print in all formats for over 25 years.
Frontierland is an expansive and at times highly experimental pop album. It’s a broad ranging work, with a sweeping sound pallet that includes horns, mandolin, mellotron, chromatic harmonica, loops and samples, violin, drums and octopad alongside Ed’s unmistakeable guitar and vocals. Allmusic acclaimed it as a work that singled Kuepper out as “one of the most valuable, idiosyncratic rock artists of the late 20th century.” Frontierland was nominated for Best Independent Release at the ARIA Music Awards in 1997.

Maya Jane Coles - Take Flight 3LP box set
Sent In By: Dave on 24 April 2024Well priced and super quick dispatch. Arrived in a sturdy mailer, complete with an oversized outer jacket for the box set, which saved me having to source that separately, and one inner sleeve. Although three inner sleeves would have been perfect (since there were 3 LPs) it was still much appreciated. Not many Sellers include either of those accessories. So all told, a very positive buying experience. Recommended, and i will be buying more LPs in future.
