KENNY DORHAM — Blue Bossa In The Bronx: Live from the Blue Morocco is a never-before-released recording of jazz trumpet icon Kenny Dorham captured live at the Blue Morocco jazz club in The Bronx, NY in 1967 featuring Sonny Red, Cedar Walton, Paul Chambers and Denis Charles. Transferred from the original tape reels that were recorded by legendary engineer Bernard Drayton, the limited-edition 180-gram 2-LP set was mastered for vinyl by Matthew Lutthans at The Mastering Lab and pressed at 33 1/3 RPM at Le Vinylist. The elaborate 16-page insert includes rare photos from K. Abe, Jan Persson and Raymond Ross and Don Schlitten with liner notes by jazz author and scholar Bob Blumenthal; plus interviews/statements with artists who knew or were inspired by Kenny Dorham such as Eddie Henderson, Charles Tolliver, Jeremy Pelt, Steven Bernstein, Reggie Workman, Dan Morgenstern and others.

Sent In By: Peter on 13 April 2026Received parcel today containing the lp/cd version of the Queen II deluxe box set. Excellent packaging as always with the item being in perfect condition. The addition of an outer plastic cover that fits large box sets was very welcome. A master class in customer service which I always get from the team at Discrepancy. Regards. Peter (Sheffield)
