Classic LP format showcasing the original track sequence and production
Includes legendary tracks such as “N.Y. State of Mind,” “The World Is Yours,” and “It Ain’t Hard to Tell”
Features production from influential producers including DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Large Professor, and Q-Tip
Widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential hip-hop albums of all time
Released in 1994, Illmatic marked the debut of Nas and quickly became one of the most celebrated albums in hip-hop history. The record captures vivid street narratives and introspective storytelling delivered through Nas’s intricate lyricism and distinctive flow. Drawing heavily from the environment of Queensbridge, New York, the album paints detailed portraits of urban life while demonstrating an exceptional level of lyrical craftsmanship for a debut release. Tracks such as “N.Y. State of Mind” and “The World Is Yours” highlight Nas’s ability to combine poetic storytelling with sharp social observation, establishing a standard that would influence generations of hip-hop artists.
This clear vinyl LP edition presents Illmatic in a visually distinctive format while preserving the album’s classic sound. The transparent pressing offers collectors an alternative presentation of a record that remains central to the genre’s history. Musically, the album’s production—crafted by some of the most respected producers in 1990s hip-hop—blends jazz-influenced samples, crisp drum breaks, and atmospheric beats that perfectly complement Nas’s lyrical delivery. For collectors and hip-hop enthusiasts, Illmatic represents a defining moment in the genre’s evolution, and this clear vinyl pressing provides a striking way to experience one of the most important albums in rap history.
