Crowded House

Crowded House

NZ songwriter Neil Finn formed Crowded House in 1985 after Split Enz folded. The trio of Finn, Paul Hester and Nick Seymour (sometimes augmented by Neil’s brother Tim and American Mark Hart) released three highly successful albums, each of which boasted several hit singles. Woodface (1991) had the timeless “Weather with you”, Temple of Low Men (1988) featured the yearning “Better be home soon”.

Neil Finn is considered one of the finest songwriters alive, melding clever (and often touching) lyrics with meticulously crafted pop melodies. Crowded House have restarted several times, while Neil has enjoyed a healthy solo career and a stint in Fleetwood Mac. After a decade's break, the 2021 album Dreamers Are Waiting was very well received.
