Gorillaz

Gorillaz is a British virtual band formed in 1998 by musician Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett. The band is known for their unique approach to music, combining various genres such as alternative rock, hip-hop, and electronic music. Their music is often characterized by its experimental nature and socially conscious lyrics.

One of the most distinctive aspects of Gorillaz is their use of animated characters as their public face. The band members are depicted as cartoon characters, with the most famous being 2D, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle, and Russel Hobbs. This unique approach to music has allowed the band to create a distinct identity, separate from other bands in the industry.

Over the years, Gorillaz has released seven studio albums, with the most recent being "Song Machine, Season One: Strange Timez." The band has collaborated with numerous artists throughout their career, including De La Soul, Snoop Dogg, and Lou Reed.

Gorillaz has received critical acclaim for their music and has won several awards, including a Grammy for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals for their song "Feel Good Inc." The band's popularity has led to numerous live performances and tours, where they perform with a live band and visual projections of their animated characters.
