HELPING US BREAK RECORDS
By: Scottie Scott on 31 May 2022When I was young and went to Sunday school we had a ritual of smashing old 78 RPM records with a hammer if we got more kids to Sunday school than any other previous Sunday. This was called "Breaking the record".It was an exciting time,as Mr Fettell would walk around the congregation with a gold star attached to a stick, tapping each child on the head while counting out the number of the child aloud. Oh the cheers that would erupt when the attendance record was broken for we all knew what was about to happen. Mr Fettell would chose the lucky candidate to step forward and with hammer in hand bring it down with mighty Thor strength to splinter the rock hard 78 black circle to pieces. Now.....my Sunday school days were short lived but the "Breaking the Record" ritual continued into my adult band playing career. So in honour of Mr Fettell, every time our band gets the most punters to our show than we have had previously, we'd purchase a mighty fine album from the amazing folks at Discrepancy Records and " Break the Record" on stage at our gig,to rapturous applause. This BLUR album was particularly spectacular to smash as it was on coloured vinyl and..... it was a double, so we have one left for the next record breaking attendance. Thanks Discrepancy crew for your fine service and I will be definately purchasing many more albums or perhaps even a box set !! Cheers Team

Sent In By: Peter on 13 April 2026Received parcel today containing the lp/cd version of the Queen II deluxe box set. Excellent packaging as always with the item being in perfect condition. The addition of an outer plastic cover that fits large box sets was very welcome. A master class in customer service which I always get from the team at Discrepancy. Regards. Peter (Sheffield)
